Who Controls Your Information?
When you purchase tickets, register for an event, complete a waiver, submit a form or otherwise interact with an event powered by ScreamTix, the organisation operating that event (the “Producer“) is generally responsible for determining why and how your personal information is collected and used.
In data protection terminology, the Producer is usually the Data Controller.
ScreamTix provides the software used by the Producer and generally acts as a Data Processor on the Producer’s behalf.
Who Should I Contact About My Data?
If you have questions about:
- your booking;
- your attendee account;
- marketing preferences;
- consent settings;
- deletion requests;
- access requests;
- corrections to your information;
- media permissions;
- privacy complaints;
you should contact the Producer directly in the first instance.
The Producer’s contact details will normally be available on their website, booking page, confirmation emails or attendee communications.
What Does ScreamTix Do?
ScreamTix provides software that allows Producers to:
- sell tickets;
- manage attendees;
- manage consent and waiver records;
- communicate with customers;
- distribute media;
- operate events and attractions.
Where we process personal information on behalf of a Producer, we do so in accordance with our contractual obligations and the Producer’s instructions.
Information We May Process
Depending on how a Producer has configured the platform, information processed through ScreamTix may include:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- booking information;
- ticket information;
- attendance records;
- consent and waiver records;
- media permissions;
- communications with the Producer.
Security and Retention
We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect information processed through the platform.
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, maintain audit records, investigate disputes, prevent fraud or satisfy the Producer’s instructions.
When Might ScreamTix Be A Controller?
In limited circumstances, ScreamTix may act as a Data Controller in its own right. For example, where we process information relating to:
- security and audit logs;
- fraud prevention;
- technical support requests;
- legal compliance;
- platform security investigations.
In those circumstances, we process information in accordance with our own Privacy Policy.
